Helloo and happy Wednesday Cutlets!

We've had loads of great comments about the end of Series 3 and we know there's loads of people wanting a Series 4. We want one too! However we still don't what's happening, so until Isla and I become commissioners of ´óÏó´«Ã½ One (it WILL happen one day...) we'd like to ask you for your series 4 ideas and predictions!

If you were designing your own Series 4 what would you like to see happen? Which characters would you like to see more of and can you think of any storylines that you'd like to see?

And finally complete Olive's sentence: 'There's so much to tell you…'

OAO,

Week 40 Music List

Dan Black - 'U + Me = '
Gravenhurst - 'Song Among The Pine'
Doves - 'Kingdom Of Rust'
Codeine Velvet Club - 'Vanity Kills'
The Kills - 'No Wow'
Courtney Love - 'Mono'
White Lies - 'To Lose My Life'
Loka - 'The Beauty In Darkness'
Nina Simone - 'I Put A Spell On You'
Codeine Velvet Club - 'Little Sister'
Alex Wilson - 'Your Eyes' (via ´óÏó´«Ã½ Introducing)
Yppah - 'Never Mess With Sunday'
Paris Suit Yourself - 'I'll Let You Know'
The Cure - 'Friday I'm In Love'
Elle S'Appelle - 'Little Flame'
Portishead - 'Numb'
The XX - 'Infinity'
Adele - 'Make You Feel My Love'
Jonsi and Alex- 'Boy 1904'

So, it's the end of Series 3: there have been ups, there have been downs, there have been highs, there have been lows. So it's only fitting that this, the final playlist of the series, contains similar extremes in music form.

There's some shouty rock (Courtney Love), some deep soulful jazz (Nina Simone), a whole pile of moody electronica (Loka, Yppah, Paris Suit Yourself) and there's a daft song about the days of the week (the Cure).

And then, right at the end there - the penultimate triumph of the whole series - is THAT song. Y'know the one. It's been all over the X Factor since September, it's been sitting pretty in the charts for much the same length of time, and it has appeared on TV trails for, well, any number of devastating drama shows. And yet, despite all the attention and exposure, it remains a song which can stop the unwary in their tracks.

Adele's 'Make You Feel My Love' has been one of those quietly adored songs ever since it first came out in 2008. Not a massive hit at first - it only reached No.26 - the song has been passed from person to person like a beautiful secret gem, something red and slightly scuffed, but still enormously bright and clear.

The original version, by Bob Dylan, was less raw, and more reassuring. It was an offer of support from someone old and experienced to someone scared and a little unsure. By stripping back on the lush instrumentation, Adele's version is more urgent, as if she's saying this stuff for the very first time to someone who had no idea she feels this way, and she just HAS to get her message through.

That's probably why people get so very poleaxed by it. It's the kind of song you would love to be able to sing yourself,, or have sung to you.

Don't get scard, I'm not going to sing it. But it is here, on the .

What a finale! So many questions... does Marla say 'I do?', do Noah and Rosa become Deaconsfield's hottest couple?, do Cam and Frankie follow in Marla and Elliott's footsteps and get married…? and OLIVE????????!!!!!!!?????!!!!! We want to know what she's got to tell us…!! Like, NOW!

It has been a rollarcoaster series 3 - we've said goodbye and then hello again, seen friendships blossoming and falling apart, met a new McKinnon and seen how difficult it can be to start a new life, seen a fair amount of snogging, copped a full-frontal of Elliott's chest and watched Alex go on a delicate personal journey. It's been immense - and the final installment is now available on iplayer for you to watch again and again.

Throughout the series we have absolutely loved hearing exactly what you think of the episodes, the characters, the storylines and everything to do with The Cut. Your comments on the blog have been amazing and we've selected a few of our favs belowÌýas representation of Series 3.

The Cut blog will be continuing through Christmas with the advent calendar windows opening every day up to and including Xmas day itself, and also keep your eyes on the blog around New Year as there might be a little something for you to mark the start of 2011.

Until then we wish you a very Happy Christmas, and thanks again for all your support for The Cut throughout the year. Here's Series 3 according to you.

As this is our penultimate playlist before the end of Series 3, how about we take a look at the one song which is common to every single episode of The Cut - the mighty 'U + Me =' by Dan Black? More specifically, how about we look at the man behind the song?

Did you know, for example, that Dan Black likes nothing more after a hard day rocking a festival than to play tricks on unwary fans? What he likes to do is ask a friend to take pictures of people there, claiming it's for a special gallery of brilliant festival-goers and stuff. Then, when the unsuspecting victims are posing, all smiles and innocence, he sneaks around behind them and poses.

It's called Photobombing, in case you've not come across it before, and .

TEN photos though! That's a serious commitment to the Photobomb cause. And not one suspicious face among them.

Dan Black, ladies and gentlemen - not just a pretty noise.

. It will take you to some strange places, but you will get back in time for tea, do not be afraid.

Helloooo Cutlets.

This week's show is on iPlayer right now for your delectable (erm..?) viewing and that means one thing and one thing only…

PARTY!!

Oh wait. That's not what it means. I've just been informed that it actually means there's only one week left (or one Saturday omnibus) of Series Three of The Cut! I'm sure, like me, you'll be feeling a mixture of emotions right now: sadness/excitement/frustration/eep-yness/a strange, overwhelming desire to dance to Slade (err, that last one may have something to do with the fact I thought we were going to party).

Luckily, Santa's elf (well, Isla) has told me that there'll still be loads going on the blog over the festive period - all the way up to New Year - to keep us entertained.

So enjoy this week's penultimate episode Cutlets and start getting excited for the series finale… the best is still to come!

Here’s some Cut-themed conundrums for you… post your answers below to let us know who you’d pick for what.

1) You’re at a Christmas party, with all the cast of The Cut (omg, I know, amazing)…. who would you most like to be ‘caught under the mistletoe’ with?

2)ÌýÌýÌý You’re at a Christmas fairground about to go on a rollercoaster. Which Cut character would you hop in the seat next to, to scream and go faster with?

3)ÌýÌýÌý It’s the weekend before Christmas and you’ve been asked to deliver Christmas cards your neighbours (yawn!). Which Cut character would you ask to come and help you, so you can giggle your way round your street?

4)ÌýÌýÌý If you could buy a present for any Cut character for Christmas. What would you get and for who? (Btw – money is NO object!)

5) It’s Christmas Day, your family have said you can invite one member of The Cut cast over for Christmas lunch (this is unbelievable?! I know! But totes could happen… er, sort of). Who would you invite?

This week, The Cut has been cowering before the titanic and threatening shadow of The Great Rock Riff. No matter what terrible dramas and wondrous events may have befallen our heroic cast, they are as naught in comparison to the bringing together of the colossally amplified electric guitar and the devastatingly applied plectrum, against a backdrop of monolithic amplification.

In this week's song list there are not one, not two, but THREE riffs of such astonishing magnitude that the world itself shakes before their majestic enormity. 'Heartbreaker' by Led Zeppelin is one such beast, stomping around the aural plains like a armour-plated brontosaur in army boots. Then there's 'mOBSCENE', a bigger, blacker, angrier kind of brontosaur, the kind who also rides a motorbike and writes disgusting graffiti on the police station walls.

Bigger, blackerer and gnarliest of all is 'Enter Sandman', a Tyrannosaurus with toothache, mirror shades and the trunk of a mighty oak tree between its teeth, the way you or I might roll a toothpick around the corner of our mouth in order to look cool.

Not that you have to be loud to be heavy. I'd argue the heaviest song of the lot - in emotional terms at least - is 'Everybody's Got To Learn Sometimes', because the one thing these colossal beasts fear above all else, is naked, vulnerable honesty. Honesty is like kryptonite to The Great Rock Riff. Remember this and you will always be safe from being trampled by brontosauruses.

in all of it's hallowed and rocking glory.

Hellooooo Cutlets!

It's pretty sweeting cold outside, so what better excuse to grab a big jumper, make a hot chocolate and treat yourselves to the latest episode of The Cut on iPlayer? If you haven't seen it yet, this week Marla and Elliott struggle to make it on their own and Alex discovers something veeeeeeery interesting about Jack…

In other wintery news, as I'm sure most of you have seen, we've got a Cut Advent Calendar! Everyday between now and Christmas a new Cutty treat will be revealed to you right here on the blog at 3:30pm. Exciting, non? Do keep checking back.

Lastly, December not only sees the usual Christmas, snow and advent calendar goodness, but also it plays host to Britney Spears' birthday (don’t ask me how I know that)! Hooray! To celebrate I've got a little game for ya if you think you're Cut enough: quote The Cut's Britney references! There's at least three.

I think.

ANYWAY! Byyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyye.
