This comes into the category of but fascinating nonetheless. Wasn't the decision to execute the Rosenbergs bestial and unforgiveable by dint of the simple fact that they had two pre-teen children? To cause such suffering to innocent youngsters just seems, well, worthy of the behaviour of America's enemies at the time (and current enemies as well).
