Adebayor's started so well for Man City
Heather Heather Heather
You may have heard Heather Mills McCartney on the programme on Wednesday.
Listen back to the interview
For the first time today I've read a female columnist who has sympathy for her. Alison Phillips is Associate Editor of the Mirror (so not strictly a columnist) and she says if it was any other young woman going through a divorce who'd produced a taped confession in which her ex allegedly admits domestic violence, we'd feel sorry for them, but instead HMM is a "screeching, publicity-hungry, money-grabbing slag. Weird, eh?". .
Some of the text messages I received on Wednesday about her were really vicious. One sticks in my memory - "so she was on the brink of suicide - who cares?" asked Jan in London.
For what it's worth having interviewed her I thought she seemed tense, edgy, consumed by negative media coverage and emotional. But then she's got a young daughter, is divorcing a Beatle and is apparently in some debt.
I think she's doing herself no favours, as it's so embarrassing to watch. Flailing about with vague accusations, in public, about such a personal matter is extremely embarrassing. Very few people feel comfortable, or any sympathy, for someone so willing to embarrass themself. It's real 'car-crash' stuff! She will come out of it badly, sadly.
Grudfuttle.
During Heather and Pauls marriage I don't believe Heather enhanced Pauls's earning capacity in any way. However by marrying Paul; Heather has increased her earning capacity enormously both now and in the future. Why therefore should Paul have to pay Heather a penny apart from a nominal £2000 a month for the upkeep of his daughter.
Im a huge Beatles fan but i think Heather has been treated appallingly by the UK media. Her crime is she married a Beatle and speaks her mind. They did the same thing to Yoko in the 60s.
She is right in all she says, she has not been out publicicing herself, she has publicised the causes which she believes is, such as landmines and animal rights. What exactly has she done wrong??? can anyone on here tell me.
Who has she actually hurt???
She did a pretty good job of rubbishing all the tabloid stories about her so what has she done to deserve the garbage heaped on her by low life tabloid editors.
Heather Mills - I think she deserves sympathy & all this negative press is not right. I am sure Paul McCartney is no angel & if they get divorced, so what? He went into the marriage as a grown man & now they are separating - most divorces are horrible but Heather should be treated as a Mother & a Good Person as she has done lots for Charity & I have not seen her on TV too often promoting herself. I think she is right in confronting the Press - yes there is freedom, but that always comes with responsibility & they are not acting in such a manner - so the result has to be some sort of regulation on what they can say otherwise they can print any non-sense they want & that is unacceptable! What right do they have to make up lies & allege things without proper evidence / information. I am sorry as a normal member of public with an average brain, I never buy the tabloid non-sense because they have made up stories about people & I know one of them & the information written about them was completely fiction.
I think they should leave her alone. Death threats should be taken seriously & those people should be prosecuted. Paul Mc obviously married her because he saw something good in her. It is not easy marrying someone of that ilk as what goes on behind closed doors only they know! Look at Phil Spectre!! Wake up to reality everyone & stop reading some of the rubbish in our press. The press should focus on issues like Child Abuse in other countries, bad situations in Russia & the real things that make this world a bad or good place to live - they are not contributing much to society writing rubbish about celebrities so I think they should be the last ones asking " what are the celebrities contributing?" as it seems to be a lot more than the Tabloid Press at the moment!!
Thank you for reading. Heather - ignore them & carry on with your life. They are not worth it.
Her performance on the media was so fake it was funny. She appeared to cry, yet neither her eyes nor her cheeks were moist with tears, and she recovered immediately; that is NOT genuine emotion, but a performance, and it backfired spectacularly. Any body language expert could tell you her demeanor just did not match her supposed emotional state. Sorry, she has "phoney" written all over - her marriage, everything is a facade. She needs help, yes, but not for the reasons some people think. If she were anyone else, she'd be considered a sociopath. No sane person would come out like this ranting against the tabloid press; they'd know full well it would only make matters worse, and ultimately the media spotlight upon them would only grow more intense. But of course, Heather Mills knew this all too well. It was a cynical publicity stunt to garner support - "oh look at me, aren't I suffering, I deserve all of Paul's fortune!" - and nothing more.
she does not deserve a penny of pauls money
he as earned all those millions through hard work and exceptional talent. the only hard work she has done was to say ... i do
