David Davis - does he have your support?

Victoria Derbyshire | 18:37 PM, Thursday, 12 June 2008

What a dramatic move. He's resigned as an MP over a number of issues, but predominantly last night's vote in the Commons which backed the powers to detain terror suspects for upto 42 days. A (thin) majority of MPs voted for that proposal, and according to opinion polls a majority of the public back the plan too. Do you respect him for what he's done? Is this an example of a conviction politician? Is he protesting in the right way? Or is he antidemocratic - a vote was taken after much debate - and it was passed, whether he likes it or not?

UPDATE - 13/06/08

David Davis agreed to come on and answer your questions on Friday morning with Phil Williams.
