Don't wear diamonds during the day unless you're the Queen

The Queen at AscotI had no idea that it's considered common to do so until I watched ´óÏó´«Ã½ One's fabulous Ascot coverage yesterday. Unless you're the Queen, it's NOT de rigeur to flash those stones when the sun is up.

I immediately ripped off my sparkling necklace and earrings. My Mum always used to tell me it was common to eat outside. What else did your Mum tell you it was common to do?
