Wrexham Council may spend £80,000 on a steel fence around a poisoned lagoon in Rhos, near Wrexham, reports . The lagoon is on the site of the old Llwyneinion brickworks site and when it caught fire in 1980 the effects of pollution were felt 20 miles away. It's thought the pool contains more than 1,100 chemical drums dumped since the 1960s.
