Castell Dinas Brân Llangollen is playing its part in the intrigue surrounding Dan Brown's controversial book, The Da Vinci Code.

The book claims a conspiracy surrounded the Holy Grail mythology. And one Llangollen legend suggests the Grail was brought to Castell Dinas Brân for safe-keeping in the 1st Century.

Local author Scott Lloyd, who has written a book about local legends surrounding King Arthur, says the Dinas Brân legend suggest the Grail was hidden in a cave deep below the castle ruins.

Business leaders are now hoping for a boost in tourism on the back of the launch of the film version of the book, reports .

Meanwhile, local photographer Aimee Lewis has made a study of Dinas Brân some of which can be viewed here and here. And local paranormal investigator Richard Holland has more information surrounding the Holy Grail.
