Even though the World Cup is dominating the headlines, we thought we should still draw your attention to problems faced by traders at Wrexham's four historic markets. Basically, they're saying they could be out of business by Christmas.

Traders are claiming, reports the , that the closure of a main car park has dramatically hit trade at Central Arcade, Butchers' Market, General Market and the People's Market.

Is the problem wider than that? Do you still use traditional markets in Wrexham or anywhere else? Mold's twice weekly market still seems very popular despite Tesco's and other supermarkets on the doorstep. Does it help that local councils are also encouraging European stallholders to set up pitches in towns? In fact, there is a French market in Wrexham today (and you can see it on Wrexham Council's ). Let us know what you think.
