Men born in Wrexham are estimated to live three years less than those born in more affluent areas of Wales, says a study reported in the .

Wrexham came 10th out of 22 Welsh towns surveyed by the with the average life expectancy estimated to be 75.8-years-old. Merthyr Tydfil and Blaenau Gwent came top of the list with life expectancy estimated to be no more than 73.
