Residents attack plan to dig up graves

So says the headline in the which reports on concern among locals amid plans by the Parochial Church Council to exhume graves and build a new church and hall on the former St Peter’s Church site in Rose Hill, Holywell.

The former church that stood on the site was torn down some years ago and the headstones of graves removed, says the newspaper, but the remains of those buried, including a number of First World War veterans, are still there.

To make representations write to the Diocesan Registrar, High Street, St Asaph, LL17 0RF, by June 30.
