Fixing the damage doesn't fix the problem!

On the face of it, vandalism to a playground is just that - but comments by Lindsey struck a chord for she suggests the damage has a bigger effect on children and the wider community than might, at first, be realised.

She writes: "In many ways the Venture is a place for the children to feel empowered to change their environment but with the vandalism they are losing confidence. We should encourage the children to fight for their play area. The adventure playground is important to the wellbeing of the whole community."

Every community has a focal point, a heart. And, it seems, the so-called Venture adventure playground is one such place in Caia Park, Wrexham. Let us hope they can find a way to overcome their problems. But fixing the damage doesn't fix the problem, does it?
