Time to pay for seasonal excess!

Nick - Web Team Nick - Web Team | 08:40 UK time, Monday, 8 January 2007

OK, I'm back from two weeks' leave and my plans to go running in daylight rather than in the dark after work, including a run on Boxing Day with friends, failed to turn into reality. In fact, I did less than I normally do. Having said that I hope your Christmas was a belter as me and mine had a cracker - but now, I guess, we all have to pay for it!

Don't get me started on the cost of Christmas - cost us a couple of hundred; having a big and extended family really cost us in terms of prezzies; socialising with friends, you know, getting in the booze and nibbles mounts up too; and to cap it all the belt has had to go down a notch.

So, what we going to do about it? I see Wrexham Council has set up a free online programme to help swimmers using Waterworld. Normally there is a cost to using which provides different levels of training and includes a log book to track progress, a calorie count and distance challenges.

I've been using a similar web service to monitor by own progress and this week it confirmed my worst fears - my has just jumped from the normal to the overweight section. Time to pay for the Christmas excesses! What about you?

Blwyddyn Newydd Dda [Happy New Year] - yeh, right!
