We've just received a press release about the saying that PC Judith McCulloch, based in Rhyl, has been nominated for the Community Police Officer of the Year Award after she helped to plan and carry out Operation Avalanche which led to a 25 per cent drop in retail related crime on her beat.

Other nominees from up for an award later this month include the team which has been nominated for the Diversity in Action Award for their work in creating a 'virtual' help centre, providing translation services to the Polish community.
