Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is UK nomination

The aqueduct, built by Thomas Telford and William Jessop, is the UK's nomination to become a World Heritage Site for 2008, reports - as well as an 11 mile stretch of waterway, according to canal blogger . The aqueduct is a popular subject for local photographers and celebrated its 200th birthday in 2005.
