A494 widening plans abandoned
Reaction to the scrapping of controversial plans to widen the A494 has been mixed: Joanne says "I think it's pathetic that the plans have been scrapped" but many disagree.

Buckley pantomimes
Peter remembers the "spectacular" pantos and "the sense of excitement almost too much to bear".


Rare films featuring the 1947 Llangollen eisteddfod as well as post-war celebrations and everyday life in the town are to be screened.

The Blue Bell in Ffrith is the latest pub to get a mention.

Town talk
Mold - M. Watts: "It is so nice to see the national flower, the daffodil, has at long last been planted on the roundabouts and grass verges around Mold."

Prestatyn - Lee: "I moved from Manchester 5 years ago, the crime rate is non-existent compared to Ashton. It would take a special place to move me from Prestatyn."

Flint - Disgruntled: "How about spending the 500k on some proper healthcare in Flint, have you ever tried to get a doctor in this town?"

Ruabon memories
Gwyn shares memories of the village of Ruabon, near Wrexham, and invites others to submit theirs.
