Now that would be a coup for us up here in North Wales if bids are successful for Deeside Stadium, Wrexham's Racecourse Stadium, NEWI and Queensway Stadium, to host training facilities for countries competing in the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.

Here are some of the first stories to drop in our news reader:

- ´óÏó´«Ã½ Sport
Some 31 sites in Wales will be put forward as potential training venues for countries competing in the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.

- Daily Post
Nine North Wales' Olymic training camps for 2012 have been revealed this morning.

- Evening Leader
Wrexham could play host to international athletic stars after sports facilities in the town were chosen among those suitable for pre-games training camps for the 2012 Olympics.

PS. We'll be blogging soon about the Paralympians from NE Wales who will be competing in this year's Beijing Olympics - there are quite a few local athletes due to compete this year.
