Lord Sebastian Coe paid a flying visit to North Wales yesterday, including stopping off in Wrexham, to hear the county's plans for preparing three pre-games training camps - Wrexham's Racecourse, NEWI Sports Centre and Queensway Stadium - in time for the 2012 games.

I saw an interview with him on Wales Today in which he said organisers were finding sports memberships where increasing as a result of advance publicity from the games - the same as you see more kids playing tennis around time - and so he reckoned we'd all become a fitter bunch.

and the highlighted concerns that only three of 600 contracts for the Olympics so far have been handed to Wales with none in North Wales.
