Did you know Wales's current football captains in the age groups U16, U17 and U19 all come from Wrexham?

And they've risen through the ranks at Wrexham FC youth academy - the Collier's Park training centre which is nuturing the talent of possible future stars like Ryan Giggs. However, and as you may have heard, the centre's future is now in doubt after losing half its funding when Wrexham lost League status.

We've just received a letter today from Steve Cooper, head of youth at Wrexham, and whilst asking for donations, sponsorship or a letter of support, goes on to say:

"Make no mistake, the programme is under severe threat, We need to raise at least 100k to keep the system going as now we are relegated we lose 50% of our grant aid fundung. After two years we lose it all. We need help and quickly."
