A Wenglish blog post as dwi'n dysgu Cymraeg [I'm learning Welsh]

Mae'n ddrwg gen i ond dwi heb ysgrifennu atoch chi yng Nghymraeg ers talwm. Does 'na ddim esgus, rhaid i mi ddweud.
[I'm sorry I haven't written to you in Welsh for ages. There's no excuse, I must say.]

So here goes.

Fel dysgwyr eraill, rhaid i mi trio defnyddio fy Nghymraeg dros yr haf - heb dosbarth Cymraeg.
[Like other learners, I must try to use my Welsh over the summer - without any Welsh lessons.]

Gobeithio bydd ein ffrindiau Cymraeg yn ein helpu ni.
[Hopefully, our Welsh friends will help us all.]

Dwi'n trio darllen Cymraeg go iawn, yn arbennig Papur Fama - papur lleol Yr Wyddgrug - ar hyn o bryd.
[I'm trying to read Welsh at the moment, especially the local paper, Papur Famau.]

Rhaid i mi ddeud dwi'n ffindio'r iaith Gymraeg ysgrifynedig mor galed, dach chi cytuno? Galed iwan! Ond mae gen i tric.
[I must say I'm finding the written language so hard, do you agree? It's very hard. But I've got a trick.]

Felly dwi'n darllen cylchlythyrau ar y we efo handy tool, ´óÏó´«Ã½ Vocab.
[Therefore, I read the newsletter on the web with a hand tool, ´óÏó´«Ã½ Vocab.

Dwi'n medru checio geiriau dwi ddim yn gwybod yn syth ymlaen - helpful iawn
[I'm able to check words I don't know straigth away - very helpful.]

Pwb lwc efo eich Cymraeg chi.
[Good luck with your Cymraeg]

Hwyl am y tro
[Bye for now]
