Where are those Jackson tickets?
Many of you have told us you're still waiting for Michael Jackson souvenir tickets. We find out what's going on.
Michael Jackson was scheduled to perform 50 concerts at the O2 on his This Is It tour between 13 July and 6 March 2010. When he died on 25 June the concert promoter AEG offered fans the opportunity to forgo a refund and receive their ticket as a souvenir. But almost three months later fans have yet to receive the tickets, despite a promise from AEG to send them out by the end of July.
The promoters of the concerts, AEG Live, told Watchdog:
Distribution of the actual concert tickets, along with a specially created copy of the memorial service program (provided with approval of the Michael Jackson Estate) began approximately two weeks ago to all fans who requested their actual tickets in lieu of full refunds. Tickets are being distributed chronologically in order of the show date. Due to the time-intensive process of providing the fans with their specific locations, the distribution will continue throughout the month.
Ticketmaster have told us that they started sending the tickets out to ticket-holders for the first concerts on Monday 14 September.
This blog is now closed. However you can still get in contact by emailing Got a story?

Why has printing these tickets taken so long? I would also like to know how Aeg can justify charging full price for a ticket when we would of been getting a show too for the full price, and no, adding a reprint of the memorial program doesn't make up for the £75 plus booking fees either.

When AEG Live said they began distribution two weeks ago, the word to remember is began. And began slowly.
I work for a Nottingham based ticket company and we haven't got any tickets yet! The plan to have them in and out to our customers by the end of July was never a realistic option.
And even when they get in we'll probably still drag our heels sending them out to customers.

Pleased I chose to get the tickets now instead of a refund. The collectors value increased by the inclusion of the special commemorative memorial program.

The money was refunded to my credit card fairly quickly and I received the souvenir ticket and programme on 18th September. I have been quite happy with the service from AEG, however I think that the ticket could have been despatched sooner, since if the shows had gone ahead as planned, the ticket would have had to have been despatched to me before the middle of July. All in all I'd give it all back to have seen Michael live in concert!

Requested memorial ticket to all 3 of them (not a refund!)before end of July...August gone by..no ticket..Sept almost gone by no tickets..
The response I get for my inquiry "we can not tell you when the tickets are going to be printed or dispatched as we don't have that information" For my question "When do you think you will have that information" the answer is "I dont know"
More than 2 months on no tickets but my money is still being used by TM- cheap credit for them it seems.
I am currently living overseas (Sydney) making international calls trying to get information and I am not even being offered an apology for the delay or the possibility of email communication to cut reduce phone cost and time zone issues.
Not happy with Ticketmaster and therefore I pledge to significantly reduce their NPS by telling everyone in all corners of the globe to avoid purchasing any tickets from Ticketmaster in the future due to the extremely negative, non responsive attitude and complete lack of cutomer service.

I oringinally requetsed one refund and one ticket, as my friend wanted the refund. Then she changed her mind, as it was not clear I filled out the form more than once.
I have tried to contact ticketmaster to confirm how many tickets I am receiving and just haven't had a reply. I have had no refund either so I am asuming that I will receive two, but I have a strange feeling they will only send one and I am going to have to argue for the refund or further ticket.
I can't believe it has taken this long. My tickets were for 3rd September (turned out to be his funeral date) I will update when they arrive

I'm a little disgusted at AEG at the time they have taken to issue these, considering they have taken the funds from us all and by now if MJ was still alive we would have had these.
I would also like to have known that they were sending us copies of the memorial programme as I wouldnt have paid out £150 for a copy!!!
I also am disgusted that LA fans are now able to get these lenticular tickets for the cost of the cinema ticket for the film. How insulting, I paid £75 per ticket !!! this is not fair and a total disgrace to MJ and his fans
Oh and it appears that instead of everyone getting different designs as should be. one of eight designs, that they have printed everyone up the same design!!!

I think a 3 month wait is quite long enough for tickets that are just souvenirs, after all its not a wait for a concert anymore, of which if they had gone ahead tonights would have been number 27 just shows how long people have waited.
