The big game

The big game is whoever your team is playing next. Here in London, there's only one game today, and it's not .
That may have the potential to be one of the games of the tournament, but is the only thing in the papers and on TV. The behaviour of the hasn't helped, but even so, it's nice to be able to talk to you all about your teams.
Today in the studio we had a very disappointed Sweden fan, and a very optimistic Ecuador fan. On the phone, a supremely confident German didn't rate Argentina as they struggled to beat Mexico. But several people texted in to point out that Mexico are in fact a very good side.
Portugal and the Netherlands also look like good sides, and I'm probably looking forward to that game more than the England-Ecuador match. At least as a spectacle of football. But I'm hopeful England's new 4-5-1 formation will work out well.
But most of all, let's just hope for more memorable football.
If either game is as good as Argentina v Mexico it will be great, and if there's a goal to equal Maxi Rodriguez's winner for Argentina, let's hope it wins the game as well.
