I have listened to the ´óÏó´«Ã½ most of my life, and came to WHYS through your online offerings. I enjoy a fair proportion of the contributions, but dislike the ones where someone is dismissive of or insults other contributors. (There is much less of this on WHYS than in some other blogs, which are regularly punctuated with venom.)

I am a retired Professor of English, who has lived for at least twenty years each in India, England, and the United States: my passion is reading and, I hope, reflection on it. I think WHYS generates a commendably wide range of stories because of the diversity of its staff and the variety of its listeners. Unlike some other blogs, it does not cater to a particular set of interests nor has it allowed itself to be taken over by a constituency with a strong agenda.
