Climate Change
Yogesh, law of nature shows that hot air goes up and cold air comes down. When I was travelling by plane recently it was showing that outside temperature was something like -200 C. Why do we believe that law of nature will not work here effectively?
Dr. Vicky Pope is from the ; is a member of the British AP climate change group; Dr Keith Tovey is the Energy Science Director of ", the Community Carbon Reduction Project; Dr John Reilly is the Associate Director of Research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's joint Programme on the Science and Policy of Global Change.
Mansour, Monrovia, the world climate have never been stable why worry about climate change?
Mahmood, Freetown, America is the most industrialised nation in the world. Now is the right time for them to sign to the kyoto protocol.
Mike, Kampala, changing lifestyle is the best option. Consumerism is escalating climate change.
Lubna, Iraq, Hi folks, Iraqi ministry of electricity invented its own way of fighting climate change: giving electricity to iraqis only one hour a day!
Monday, Nigeria, gas flaring in Countries like NGR must be reduced so as to protect the environment.
Jacky, Ghana, biofuel produce frm maize, in Mexico may be one solution though, it has impact on human consumption.
Ihsan Afridi, Pakistan, I鈥檓 an environmental sciences student. I wanna say that we must reduce the use of gasses n must grow more trees.
Fred Kaluza Warren, Michigan, I get you on Detroit Public Radio 101.9 WDET here in Michigan. Personally I鈥檝e limited the size of my family to 2 children, I hang my clothes outside to dry on the line instead of using a 鈥渄ryer鈥 and my wife and I drive Honda Insight hybrids. Also replaced the incandescent lamps with compact fluorescents.
Q Myers, Oregon, I live in an off grid solar house and drive a car that gets 50 mpg highway, 40 city.
Mukul, Dayton, OH, I remember we used to collect beer bottles we consumed as students in India. The recycling man used to buy them from us and it used to pay for the big party at the end of semester. In US I don't see anyone do it. Everytime I have a party I feel uncomfortable throwing away those bottles but have no choice. We need a highly recyclable society, and there should be no shame in recycling.
Kenn, Detroit, I have changed all my bulbs in my house to low energy lamps. I don't let the water run between actual use. I turn off the lights in the empty offices whnever I pass one thats on. I Recycle, Reduce, & Reuse.
David, Manchester, it doesn't matter how much or little that you, only that you do something. It's what's being talked about turning lights on and off, not leaving your central heating on when you go out etc.
Linda, Portland, Oregon, since we live in the country that consumes the most of everything, we chose to not have children. This also reduces the noise pollution in our home.
Bart Mitchell, Bend, OR, I don't know of any politicians with lear jets, but the new US speaker of the house has requested that the US military use one of their huge petrol wasting aircraft as her personal commuter aircraft for herself and her enterage.
Mukuka Chilufya, Zambia, in most Zambian and even many other African comunities people that play loud music, hoot at night and make noise have more rights than those that complain about noise.
Barry, N'Zerekore, Guinea, it will be a sin for Western Nations if they do not do something to save our planete
Ama Mich'l, Sierra Leone, the west has brought another plague to Africa we must do everything possible to stop us from extinction.I work without light &sleep in the dark.
Nina, Portland, Oregon, 25 years ago, I decided that there were too many people and not enough natural resources and it wasn't really necessary for me to have children.
Campbell, Melbourne, the cheapest and easiest way to help our environment is to stop exploiting animals for our own selfish purposes. Livestock industry pollutes waterways, wastes energy and precious natural resources and threatens biodiversity. Cattle in Australia produce more greenhouse gas than motor vehicles. Go vegan!
Mabewa, Jos, Nigeria, a pastor here in Nigeria owns a private jet. I wonder what his "god" is telling him about "global warming".
Paul, ex-lighthouse keeper, I switched my lights off for 5 mins last nite and now have a tanker in my lounge.
Banjugu Marah, Guinea, the report on climate change has renewed my mind of risking my life to enter Europe.
Patrick, Belgium, I recycle, insulate, cycle, wear warm clothes... But fly a lot to see my significant other: so what I do on the ground matters little. What we need is a solid carbon tax: the world would evolve other ways of getting heat, lights and transport.
Malcolm, on Yacht Pittulie, for 24 years I have lived on the sea sailing around the world. I use sea water for most purposes, wind to fill my sails, the sun for power, and I do not take up land space.
Mohammed Amirullah, Kathmandu, Nepal, it鈥檚 useless saying i will reduce my consumption ! we people should quickly switch on to alternative and renewable source of energy.
Karo, Lagos, Nigeria, if we say because of this global warming, shut down all electric gadgets, I'm afraid that even the 大象传媒 will have to go off air.
Lyly, Lebanon, I think all countries must unite 2 fight pollution by using les carbon,
Wendy, Nairobi, I was amused listening to advice for "the whole world" to turn off lights for an hour or so. I live in Kenya's capital & was without power 8 hrs yesterday, 3 hours today.
Bill, Johannesburg, do not blame the developed west. Here in south africa our politicians are smug about our strong economy but if our vehicles suddenly had to comply with European emission standards our economy would collapse overnight.
Joshua Kingkpa, Liberia, I do sleep with light on because I do not sleep well with light.
Segun, Nigeria, what we need is an ethic of common-sense where rational choice is used.
Genesis, Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania, maybe taking public transport can help to reduce environmental polution, but it is very unattractive & inhumane choice to make in Dar-Es-Salaam.
Kabenge, Uganda, I gave my 6year old boy a role to switch off lights every morning and remind him!
Hilary, Jinja, Uganda, in uganda with the daily power cuts we have a bleashing in disguise also the use of enegy saving bulbs
Anonymous, I am living in Detroit in the US and i have not done much to reduce my energy usage but i think that energy is a business and too many greedy people. If fewer people drove cars it would be detrimental to the auto industry and the oil industry. In other words, there are too many greedy people who care more about money than having a planet fit for living.
Habu Adamu Nitte, hello, in my country (nigeria) many are ignorant about climate change. there are alot of chinese made motorcycles used commercially, their number is more @than seven times the number of cars they emit alot of smoke that makes the atmosphere smokey all day and nobody seems to care.-
Bature Yaribori, Nigeria, I am sure that climate change is a very risk especially here in Nigeria where Government doesn't care abaut.Lawal

Ido, Calabar, we are born noisy and into noise period.
