I am arguing in an african state of mind as it where i am from, in Africa especiallly in my Country DRCongo, marriage is still something full of dignity, people honour and repespect it but step by step some of abroad cultures are being copied. The rate of marriage is growing lower than the last years' the number of single women at age of marriage is increasingly going up. Some say marriage is a squeezing stuff for one's ambition and liberty to live while faithfulness and confidence whithin couples are the major source of separation and divorce, let's note that the maority of Black African consider marriage as a sacred matter.

To be honest, I'm not suprised marriage is in decline with hard working people ending up having to pay out halve of everything they've worked for in some cases, as well as the massive rise in people looking for marital affairs: . Its enough to put anyone off.

That said as a 22 year old, I really do hope to remain with my present girlfriend and one day get married... when I'm confident that we will remain together for the rest of our lives.

It's nice to hear someone like Anthony saying things like that. I was where there was a quote that "in almost every other species in nature, monogamy is an aberration - not a given".

Even if that's true it doesn't make it right that people should treat marriage lightly. Unfortunately, with all this kind of information out there on sites like the one Anthony mentioned, it's little wonder that people seem to be becoming less interested in genuine commitment.

I've been married 17 years in March and it hasn't always been easy - but its worth fighting for, and I think more young people should follow Anthony's lead.
