Impeaching freedom of thought and expression

Richard Bowen | 11:30 UK time, Tuesday, 20 March 2007

Should George Bush be impeached over Iraq? Following yesterday's show you really wanted to talk about this and today we are. What do you think about this? Should Bush be impeached? Or is it too late for anything like this to make a difference?

Freedom of thought and expression. Are school children being discouraged to express their own opinions? We've spoken about three stories, one from the , one from and one from in which the free thought and expression of youngsters haas been stifled. Check out the stories and let me know what you think.

Here are the rest of the meeting notes

The issue of impeachment is on the cards today. Martin "Tommy" Vennard has been looking at the blogs and the most read and most emailed stories. The top stories are all things Iraq, including talk of , the death of the and the to cure malaria.

There's been a few ideas floating around about what's acceptable to do or say at school. Or indeed how much can we control what children say and do at school? The first story that kicked this off was from the British press about schools being able to from wearing full-face veils on security, safety or learning grounds.

The there's the story about a student in the USA who displayed a banner with the words . Now, this happened in 2002 but it's gone so far that it's made it all the way to the supreme court.

And finally, the discussion of homosexuality in schools.

Here's a few other ideas.

Have you ever encountered or practised accent snobbery?

new arrivals to the refugee camps are turned away because there are not enough places, is un/the rest of the world doing enough?
