What would you tell Sarko to do?

Ros Atkins Ros Atkins | 16:38 UK time, Monday, 7 May 2007

I get very excited when we hear from people who are enjoying WHYS. Last week we got word that various top brass at NATO in Brussels and some UN peacekeepers in Togo are avid listeners. Well today, we can add a 12 year-old member of the Singaporean President's family to that list. She's just emailed me and asked to be added to the Daily Email. With pleasure…

Here are today's topics:

WHAT WOULD YOU TELL SARKO TO DO?
Nicolas Sarkozy is going to be . If you're in France, or elsewhere, and could ask him to do one thing, what would it be?

IS ATHEISM BECOMING FUNDAMENTALIST?
The question 'does God exist?' may well have featured on WHYS-BC if it'd been around, but the way opinions are being expressed in this oldest of debates is raising serious heckles. Some believe the stridency with which some atherists deny the existence in God is in itself . Do you agree?

EIGHT WEEKS OF NOT KNOWING ABOUT ALAN JOHNSTON
I've just come back from standing outside Bush House along with many colleagues. We were doing what we've done every Monday for almost two months now... thinking of Alan Johnston and wishing he was back with us. Today we'll speak to the former hostage-negotiator and former hostage, Terry Waite, and, as always, hear some of your messages.

AFRICA: FOUR DAYS AND COUNTING
We fly on Friday and our first show's on Monday. We're still looking for the stories and issues you want to talk about during our two weeks in East and West Africa (dates below), and you can make your suggestions here.
