Conspiracies and 9/11

Martin Vennard | 18:37 UK time, Friday, 24 August 2007

I hope you are having a good weekend. On Monday we are planning to talk about some of the alternative theories surrounding the September 11th attacks in the United States.

They may be a minority, but a significant number of people do not believe the official version of what happened on that day in 2001, that hijacked airliners were flown into buildings in New York and Washington.

My colleague and our presenter, Ros Atkins, has already blogged about this

Ros noted that a blog posting on the subject by an editor from ´óÏó´«Ã½ World Television, Richard Porter, had received a very large response.

A film promoting some of those alternative theories called has been receiving a lot interest on the blogospere.

We plan to talk to Jason Bermas, one of the film's producers, during the programme. We also hope to speak to who has written on the subject for Time Magazine.

Steve Evans, a ´óÏó´«Ã½ correspondent who was at the World Trade Centre at the time of the attacks, may also be joining us from New York.

One of the people who is very sceptical about such alternative theories is , a blogger in Arizona. And we plan to talk to him

Several other bloggers have already expressed an interest in taking part. If you would like to take part please post a comment below.
