What happened on 9/11?
We're off air now, but you can listen again here.
I hope you had a good weekend. Mine featured more tile shops than would have been ideal, but I'm not sure visits to the Old Kent Road qualify as a major global talking point.
Just as I'm beginning to write this Reuters is flashing this 'U.S. ATTORNEY GENERAL GONZALES RESIGNS - U.S. OFFICIAL TELLS REUTERS'. You may well want to comment on that.
Here are today's topics...
WHAT HAPPENED ON 9/11?
Terrorists hijacked four planes, managed to fly three into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and killed thousands is the obvious answer. The terrorists were co-ordinated by al-Qaeda from the Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, you may well continue.
Over the past few months, though, though my attention has increasingly been drawn to the number of you who think that there may be an alternative explanation. I particularly noticed the size of the response to one blog post written by a senior executive at ´óÏó´«Ã½ News about our coverage on 9/11. Lots of the responses are sceptical.
So I asked you if we should talk about this.
Now I know lots of you don't want us to talk about it. You say 'please don't waste your show on cranky conspiracy theorists'. But WHYS isn't about us taking positions, and if there is a conversation going on then we're going to hear it, and you convinced us that there is. But let's be clear - this conversation includes people who have significant doubts about the official account of what happened on 9/11, people who want to confront those who have doubts, and those of you who don't think they even warrant the time of day. We'll hear all three today.
YOUR REPORTS ON THE FIRES IN GREECE
We're also going to try and get as many of your accounts of the fires as we can.

A few of my colleagues have suggested that we've been underselling the WHYS podcast in its first week (a 'soft launch' was the dryly used phrase), so PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU CAN SUBSCRIBE TO THE WHYS PODCAST HERE.
Speak to you later.
Cheers,
