Just been sorting out next week's show...we've got some great exclusives for 'Hottest Record' including the return of Ms PJ Harvey...she'll be doing a session for us later down the line. Speaking of Maida Vale, just looking down the list of sessions we've booked: The Doves, Gallows, Jack Penate and Bat For lashes. Very happy times ahead...
Oh, and I've just heard the brand new single from Dizzee Rascal - he's stepped it up once again...defo sticking to the dance vibes...you'll be hearing that in a couple of weeks time...
Eddie and the boys are back. Top of the Pops... Top Of The Pops! and with an Argos back catalogue of 2 albums under their belts, this third album starter for ten sets them up and running with the best of 'em! Laters, ss x
So there you have it, red carpet madness down at The NME awards with Alex (Franz Ferdinand) receiving the 'Most Rather Fetching Outfit On A Bloke' award among others...
Lots to see last night hanging out 'n' grabbing the young and talented or "Greater Good" as Guy from Elbow put it. I saw Tim Burton hanging out with Robert Smith, Pete Doherty running through the doors and straight to his table & Alex Turner unable to wear the headphones we gave him in case they messed up his salon perfect hair do!

Rock 'and indeed' Roll!
Studio Sam ;)
This just blasts off from the opening frame. To be honest, it's what we've been waiting for from Enter Shikari. All the furious energy and ideas contained in a really strong mix. Bodes so well for the forthcoming album 'Common Dreads'. Check it out for yourself.
Electro pop's founding fathers return with an arena ready new single. No one makes self loathing and introspection sound more funky. Tomorrow will welcome back Enter Shikari with a blinder. Oh, and Studio Sam will be grabbing whoever, whenever at the nme awards. So expect some d-list randoms... funny.
Everyone's heading for the dance floor now - BFL has put a modern day disco twist on her brilliant and atmosspheric song writing style. Still loves her reverb fans will love. New fans will follow.
A long wait for this one...we should never assume that we know where YYY are heading at any given moment. This one heading for the dance floor, but Karen O told us the album has some heartbreakers on it. It's Blitz.
Big HOT for us tonight. World Exclusive of an unreleased Pearl Jam song from the 'Ten' era. Couldn't have been more excited to drop it. Big drums, riffs, vocals and solos. Classic Pearl Jam. Looking forward to the Ten re-issue. Masterpiece?...
Calvin drops a universal rave anthem, timeless chords, and superb production...this is one of the absolute anthems of the moment. Mac predicts a number one single...

Is Twitter really all that?

Some fun from the Ronson studio. Will do little to push either mark or kings forward but makes a great b-side. Yet to see it on the dance floor but will probably rock it!
Thought we'd get one of our videos up and running with last weeks great Vs battle between The King Of Pop donning the gloves against Zane 'Hit Em Down' Lowe! I wasn't in the studio at the time but I heard Aled whipped his butt...
Been sat around a table today with some professional music enthusiasts hammering out one of those gnarly top 100 type lists. Has me thinking about the next round of masterpieces. I've got some time to think.
Now sat at R1 pre-show and post interview with Gary from Cribs. Apparently courgette is regarded amongst vegetarians as 'tastless'. They start a new record in April.
Listened to two new White Denim songs yesterday. One is (good) predictable and one is a (great) surprise.

A dark record. Lulls you in under false pretense and then doubles in speed and rock. Shows a heavier side to the maccabees but doesn't sacrifice the hooks. Theres a lot of excitement about the new album round our way.
So, a good 3 years after it was 'cool' i have finally gotten around to doing a blog. If you're into this world of keyboard connectivity, then rejoice each day with a 30 minute slice of the radio show complete with the hottest record of that day.
I interviewed Morrissey today. He was curious. Interesting huh!
