Hottest Record - The Klaxons - Flashover
Big one this one. The return of Klaxons with a heavy, distorted, weird piece of perfect noise. It was always going to be their heaviest foot forward and reactions from our end so far are very strong. The Four Horsemen are back. Rejoice. Tomorrow, new Vampire Weekend.

When your last lead single , was the massive , melody heavy , heavenly ,Golden Skans , then some will say that the next lead single has to top that masterpiece , both song wise and commercially .
Not sure if this is the song to do it , as it doesn't sound like a single to me . I can see Radio 1 playlisting it , along with specialist stations , but a lot of other radio stations would pass on playlisting this.
That said the "myriad of silver discs " refrain is very catchy , as is the "Flashover " bridge , and the song catches fire in the chorus, with a lot of power, and an aggressive underbelly .
This song is certainly a grower .
Welcome back lads .

In my opinion " Flashover" was not that song .
"Echoes" on the other hand , fits the bill . A glorious compelling chorus , full of melody and a more suitable choice .
Echoes will be a top 40 hit !
