Easily one of Caspa's most instantly accessible tunes, 'Back for the First Time' has been steadily becomoing a classic since it was first played several months ago. Tonight's Hottest Record sees a change of name and an added vocalist. 'Love Never Dies (Back for the First Time)' benefits from these changes, but isn't without awareness that it might take a while for people to get their head around it. Give it time. It works
With Radio 1's annual visit to Ibiza approaching, Tonight's HR arrives in the nick of time. Equal parts deep and
uplifting, expect this one to feature heavily across the weekend. Anthem by name, and by nature
Everything's going according to plan with Magnetic Man. Massive street buzz and a potential legitimate pop chart with 'I Need Air'. Combine that with some serious festival performances of late and you get one of the most exciting groups dance music has thrown up in years. Interesting to see each producer's personality lead here and there. Tonight's hottest record definitely has an air of Benga about it. Big tune.
First hottest record after a break for me. Always highly anticipated. Brand new Arcade Fire 'Rococo' does the trick. Every note I've heard on the new album to date is full of purpose and grand ambition. This is clearly their finest statement yet.
Huw here in for Zane. Hello. This Hottest Record is a BANGER straight outta Flux Pavillion's studio, a big throbbing bassline with weird vocal and all the right breakdowns. He's an uber talented producer who's been on it for a while and will breakthrough. Thanks to Mistajam for this, who's on the UKG takeover of ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 1 and 1xtra Saturday night from 7pm
Huw here, in for Zane. I heard her demos two years ago, and fell in love with them. Now she's ready to take on the world; her songs are stunning, her voice versatile and live gigs ready to take her music around the world. This song, a free download from her site claremaguire.co.uk , is an INCREDIBLE song. Gets me every time. A lot more to come.

Hello, Huw here in for Zane. Massive record on Annie Mac's Friday night show, this is Katy B's debut. Benga on the beats and with an album coming out soon with a host of collaborations, this is a wonky, bassy summer banger which is equally soulful, slinky and heavy. Sounds amazing this. Turn it up!
After the mighty Scribble, Rick Smoth and Karl Hyde are back from their bunker is Esses with this; Always Loved a Film. A big anthemic full powered belter of a tune, it will sound massive when they take to the stage live in September. A duo who continually try out new ideas, push boundaries, this time they've been working with producers Paul Van Dyk, D.Ramirez and Dubfire amongst others that make their own beats sound even fresher. Welcome back Underworld!
Huw here... On the up up up, unstoppable and topper most poppable. Co founder of Magnetic Man and remixer of In for the Kill, Skreams second album drops in August. Taking dubstep and turning it on its head, this beauty will feature on said LP.
Back with another new track for their ever growing fanbase, Chapel Club are sounding as brooding yet as massive as ever. It even starts with some wild birds, tweeting away like nobody's business. Beautiful.
Huw here in for Zane. Oi oi. Just before Carlos left New York's Interpol, he completed their fourth album with them. Self titled, meant to be out in September, it got leaked this week and the world can clasp ears on it all over the web. 'Barricades' is the first official single from the album and is what we've come to expect from the band; tight, highly produced and sounding pretty damn good.
Like a big burst of sunbeam coming straight out of your radio, 'NYC Moves to the Sound of LA' sounded like a band landing on earth and refusing to leave until we all clapped along. Back with their second single, 'Just Because' takes their no nonsense approach a step further, inspired by the band's new drummer who's partial to a bit of craziness. Expect big things; Reading and Leeds in August? You won't be able to get in the tent when they're on!
Hello, it's Huw in for Zane while he takes a well deserved break. Tonight's 'Huey's hottest' (it's not gonna catch on is it?) is by not one, not two, not three but......oh yes it's three artists. Kid Cudi? Check! Bethany from the hot hot Best Coast? Check! Rostam from Vampire Weekend? Check! Altogther in the studio to collaborate on a track for a well known brand of popular trainers, and available for free, it's a slab of melodic shoegazy hip hoppy loveliness with summer firmly in their hearts. You Beauty!
We've been rinsed with big name Hottest Records lately so it was nice to blast some brand new, largely unknown Rock 'N' Roll tonight. The band is called 'Black Mountain' and we have played music from them before, but this new song is a whole new level. Ask Dan P Carter.
It never gets tired this anticipation and excitement for new music by DJ shadow, The facts about the new album are as follows: 35 minutes of music done, release date set for 2011, and a brand new piece of music in the Hottest Record department called 'Def Surrounds Us'. Starts out with an electro/dubstep feel, and ends with pure breakbeat darkness. Shadow's back.
Fresh from what Will described as 'one of the best live shows yet', Chase and Status bag an unexpected Hottest Record tonight. Another heavy remix of Plan B's 'Prayin'' in the d'n'b genre. Very tidy.
Pro Green teams up with exciting new talent Labrinth and the result is a firing new tune from his forthcoming new album - Oh My God is the natural successor to Dizzee's Sirens and available now to stream. Listen'.
