JOBS LOST:

65 lost at Huddersfield engineering firm Thomas Broadbent and sons听

Music retailer Zavvi shedding total of 28 jobs in the 大象传媒 Yorkshire area through closure of its stores in Castleford, Huddersfield, Mansfield, and York.

Children's clothing retailer Adams is closing its shops in Leeds, Wakefield, Chesterfield, Doncaster and Mansfield, meaning about 40 redundancies.

Sylvania Lighting in Baildon axing 200 jobs and transferring production to India

Eight Woolworths stores in the 大象传媒 Yorkshire area closed on Tuesday - the final ones in the country to close - putting around 250 people out of work this week.

JOBS GAINED:

Aldi hope to create about 450 jobs with the opening of 18 stores and a distribution centre in Yorkshire

And the Greggs bakery chain plans to create more than a hundred jobs by expanding in the region.

The home shopping company Redcats UK has warned that 130 jobs could go at its sites in Bradford and Wakefield.

370 jobs are secured and over 100 jobs could be created by West Yorkshire vehicle rental broker, Nexus Vehicle Rental which has acquired the vehicle rental arm of FMG Support Limited which has its headquarters in Huddersfield.
