He also took photographs of the strike and then went on to become a professional photographer. He now works as a photographer for the West Yorkshire Fire Service.
Ken Wilkinson believes he is the only miner to have taken pictures during the strike. His photographs are such powerful images that the National Mining Museum in Wakefield has exhibited them. Ken's pic of Arthur Scargill and protest He left mining to follow a career in photography and now works for the West Yorkshire Fire Service.
