By contributor Daniel Jones Tesco Cup u13, 18/03/07 - Hardwick 4-2 Chesterton
On a cold windy afternoon at Milton Road, Hardwick and Chesterton contested for the Tesco Cup final and Hardwick started with the wind on there backs. They threatened early with C.Dear going close but only a last ditch tackle preventing a goal. T. Cowley then had a chance as Hardwick made the running.
Then against the run of play D.Jolley scored after good work by the Eagles right winger. Hardwick pushed for a equaliser and C.Dear obliged with a shot cross come goal but then the Eagles had a goal dissalowed shortly straight from an indirect free kick from inside the box which came from high feet then the half time whistle came and it was 1-1.
Hardwick kicked off the second half and continued to do the pressing after after some prolonged pressure G.Powell put the Harriers 2-1 up with a 25 yard blast. Soon after C.Dear made it 3-1 and O. Montique 4-1 and by then the game was safe but the Eagles got a consolation late on when a dubious decision, but Hardwick werent to be denied and they got there reward for a great run with with winning the Tesco Cup and advancing to Birmingham.
