Parson Drove completed the amazing feat of winning the Fenlands U11 league as U10's, the young team have worked hard all season and remain the only unbeaten side in the league, They only needed the minimum of a draw from there remaining 2 games but convincingly beat Holbeach Blue 8-1 to secure the title. The young side showed no nerves and set about there business in a very professional manner. Jack F opened up the scoring after 2 minutes with a 25 yard volley and from that moment they never looked back. Pat S played a lovely through ball to Jake B who curled the ball into the bottom corner from 18 yards, 2-0. Joe M then supplied Harry W who curled the ball in from 15 yards for a comfortable 3-0 half time lead. The home side then dominated possession and forced a corner, Jack F placed the ball down and curled an amazing kick into the top far corner for 4-0, an unfortunate OG for 5-0. The team were really putting the visitors under a mass of pressure and Ben C curled in a cross from the left wing for Harry W to lob the goalkeeper from 18 yards, 6-0. Holbeach grabbed a consolation to reduce the deficit to 6-1 but Pat S soon replied beating the keeper in a one on one to score the home sides 7th goal after great work from Dale R, Harry W completed the score line after bursting through and chipping the goal keeper from 18 yards for a good 8-1 victory and securing the league title. A fantastic performance from the team and captain Dean G led his players well, Harry P and James B were outstanding in defence as they have been all season, Adam F limped out injured but performed well again as he has done all season. Joe M and Jack F were again exceptional in midfield whilst Ben C, Dale R and Pat S offered yet again width to the team and they have played very disciplined roles this season and deserve a massive pat on the back, Jake B & Harry W again caused the defence trouble and like every game this season they have been full of running and have taken most of there chances. A wonderful performance from all the team all season long with effort, Commitment and dedication being exceptional. They have trained hard and the performances on the pitch prove it and over the season they have played some magical football considering there age.
