Parson Drove went into this semi final already achieving an amazing feat of winning the league and this was just another game in a highly successful season.
They clearly were on top for the whole of the first half but were on the wrong end of some refereeing decisions. Parson Drove had strong claims for a penalty but it was waved away.
Then Joe M was fouled and the biggest injustice was Holbeach scored directly from it. 0-1 down and having to chase the game did not suit Parson Drove but they stuck about there guns well and had another claim for a penalty waved away again. Harry W then hit the bar and the ball bounced down onto the line but it was cleared.
Time was running out to grab that equaliser when Pat S went clean through and chipped the goalkeeper only for the post to save Holbeach this time. Parson Drove were very unlucky not to have won the game considering their efforts and possession skills.
