ý Mini-Gladiators Privacy Notice

Your trust is very important to us. This means the ý is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal data. It is important that you read this notice so that you are aware of how and why we are using such personal data. This privacy notice describes how we collect and use personal data about you during and after your relationship with us, in accordance with data protection law.
Why are we doing this and how can you participate?
The ý is giving your child the chance to appear in very special Gladiators S2 promotional content which will be featured in the junction ahead of the final episode and on ý social media channels.
To enter, fill in your details using our online form and submit a short 10” video of your child performing their own signature Gladiator move. If your child is shortlisted you will be contacted to complete and return a child contributor release form to the ý Mini-Gladiators team. You will be contacted again to let you know if your child is selected to appear in the final promotional content.
The ý will collect the personal data via an online platform used by the ý.
When you contribute to the ý, we may use your contribution in our programmes or content, but we cannot promise to use everything that we receive. If we broadcast your contribution, this may include the programme being available online and/or on demand, and your contribution may be used again in a future broadcast. It may also include use on the ý’s social media channels.

What personal data will the ý collect?
You must be 18 years or older and the legal parent/guardian to submit a video of your child for the Mini-Gladiators promo. Your child must be aged between 5 and 15 years old.
The ý will collect and process the following personal data about you:
■ Full name
■ Email address
■ Contact telephone number
■ Confirmation you are over 18 years old
■ Confirmation you are the child’s legal parent/guardian
■ Your child’s name
■ Your child’s age
■ A video clip of your child performing their signature Gladiator move
For children under the age of 13, a child’s legal parent or guardian will provide consent for their participation and the processing of their personal data in line with UK data protection laws. For children aged 13-15, although they can consent to the use of their data independently, we require a parent or guardian to submit the entry on their behalf and by doing this you confirm the child has agreed to take part.
Who is the Data Controller?
The ý is the “data controller” of your personal data. This means that the ý decides what your personal data is used for, and the ways in which it is processed. For the avoidance of doubt, your personal data will be collected and processed solely for the purposes set out in this privacy notice. As the data controller, the ý has the responsibility to comply, and to demonstrate compliance with, data protection law.
Lawful basis for processing your personal data
The lawful basis on which the ý processes the personal data is the performance of its public task. The ý’s role is to act in the public interest and to serve all audiences with content which informs, educates and entertains, and to reflect the United Kingdom and its cultures and values to the world.
Sharing your personal data
The ý works with our approved third-party providers who help us to provide some of our services. These partners only use your personal data on behalf of the ý and not independently of the ý.
We may share personal data with a third party where required or permitted by law.
Retaining your personal data
If your application is unsuccessful we will delete your personal data on 26th January 2026.The personal data collected during the application process for successful entrants will be retained and archived in perpetuity by the ý.
If you appear in ý programming or ý promotional content, this programme or promotional content will be retained and archived in perpetuity by the ý.
Your personal data will be stored in the UK and the EEA.
Your rights and more information
You have rights under data protection law:
■ You can request a copy of the personal data the ý stores about you.
■ You have the right to request that we rectify any inaccurate or incomplete personal data that we hold about you.
■ You have the right to ask for the personal data we collect about you to be deleted, however there are limitations and exceptions to this right which may entitle the ý to refuse your request.
■ In certain circumstances you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data, or to object to the processing of your personal data.
■ You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal data to you or to another organisation, in certain circumstances.
Children aged 13-15 also have the right to access, update, or request the deletion of their data.

We will revise the privacy notice if there are significant changes to how we use your personal data.
