Bat decoration make
Try making our bat decorations this Halloween. They're great fun and can be made entirely from recycled materials. If you have a go, let us know how you get on down in the comments!
- Empty egg box
- Scissors
- Black acrylic paint
- Paint brush
- PVA Glue
- Pencil
- Tac
- Ribbon
- Decorations
STEP 1
First, you will need to get an empty egg box and some scissors.
Cut off the lid so that you are left with the side that holds the eggs.
Make sure that you have an adult to help you out with the cutting.
STEP 2
To make the body of your bat you will need to cut along the center of the egg box.
Make sure you have three empty egg cups on each side.
STEP 3
Now that you have your body, it鈥檚 time to make the wings. Use your scissors to cut small triangles out of the outer egg cups.
Don鈥檛 forget to cut the back two pieces to make it level.
STEP 4
Then you will need to paint your bat and leave it to dry. Don鈥檛 worry about being neat, you just need to cover the inside and outside with black paint.
TOP TIP - Put some newspaper under your bat because the painting can get messy!
STEP 5
Make your own eyes using some white paper and a felt tip pen.
It鈥檚 up to you how scary you want to make your bat and you can use any materials from your home to decorate.
STEP 6
Finally, to hang your bat you will need to tie some ribbon around the top. To do this you will need to make a small hole using a pencil and some tack.
