Blue Peter 'Lost the Plot' Challenge
Stories are made up of sentences...so, Blue Peter challenged awesome authors Holly Smale, David O'Doherty and Ben Bailey Smith to create a story, using sentences that include totally random words!
Read their story:
David O’Doherty: Well, because Lindsey hates sharks and fish…Simon the shark’s best friend was a LION called Leah.
Ben Bailey Smith: And due to being outside camping throughout the winter, Leah had caught a terrible cold and was constantly SNEEZING!
Holly Smale: But that was ok, because this was how Leah propelled herself forwards across the ground, by sneezing and grabbing on to the tail of a COW.
David O’Doherty: Now, the thing about lions is that they get really easily distracted, especially with new apps that are available on PHONES, so Leah kept walking into things!
Ben Bailey Smith: And of course the biggest SCREAM that Leah gave was when she walked directly…into a wall! She fell backwards, hit her head and then…
Holly Smale:…a passing DONKEY saved the cow, who had also hit his head against a wall (but everyone had forgotten about him!) So the donkey took the cow away and left Leah the lion lying on the floor…
David O’Doherty: Lions are famous for roaring, but the other thing they are famous for is terrible farts! Those farts are capable of scaring away all of the animals because they are so STINKY
Ben Bailey Smith: So it had been Leah the lion’s plan all along, to fake walking into a wall just to be able to fart in a Donkey’s face! And Leah the lion was so pleased, that she gave an EVIL LAUGH!
