Moana 2: If Dwayne Johnson was a voyager, where would he go?
Shini and a very special Blue Peter superfan head to the UK premiere of the brand new musical adventure Moana 2 to meet and interview voice of Moana, Auli'i Cravalho and voice of Maui the demigod, Dwayne Johnson, who surprises us with why he'd like to time travel to dinosaur times and even to see the Roman empire!
What is Moana 2?
Moana 2 is the sequel to the award winning animated film, Moana.
Set three years after the first film, Moana and Maui are reunited for an epic new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she鈥檚 ever faced.
Prepare for lots of laughs, excitement and of course brilliant music that you can sing along to!
Who's in Moana 2?
Moana herself is back as the title character, she's heading off on a risky voyage overseas and will need lots of help to make the journey. Moana puts together a crew to help her sail, which includes lots of brilliant new characters.
Maui is a demigod who is thousands of years old, he has lots of seemingly magical powers including the ability to shapeshift. Oh, also he lassoed the sun!
Moana's adorable and hilarious pet pig and rooster, Pua and Heihei, are obviously coming along for the ride, too!
Simea is Moana's three year old younger sister, she's sure to bring lots of laughs and excitement to the journey.
What did Blue Peter do at the UK premiere of Moana 2?
Our very own presenter, Shini, took one very special Blue Peter fan to the UK premiere of Moana 2. Liya joined Shini to interview voice of Moana,聽Auli'i and has even played the role of Moana in a school play!
Liya asks Auli'i what her favourite song from Moana 2 is, and Auli'i treated them to a little snippet of new song "We're Back". Auli'i also says that any scene with Moana's new little sister, Simea, is her favourite part of the movie. She says Simea is a very effective character for making you laugh and cry!
After the interview, Shini and Liya went to the premiere at Leicester Square where Liya did a bit of star spotting, had her photo taken professionally and even got to chat with two of the film's directors, Jason Hand and David Derrick Jr!
Finally, Shini had a special surprise for Liya: She got to watch the screening of Moana 2 with all the stars and celebs at the premiere!
