This is a carefully designed space planted to give a balance of sun, shade and shelter. It uses low-allergen plants and natural materials to make the environment more enjoyable to asthma and hay-fever sufferers.

Olivia explains 鈥淭he style is sleek and modern. Dark grey rendered back walls contrasting with sharp white pots planted with hostas in front. The rectilinear theme is taken from the long thin pale grey stone slabs which meander through the garden and carry through the rills, seating and stained glass panels giving a visual unity.鈥�

Foliage plants provide a year round interest and a backdrop to colourful irises, peonies, astrantia and the culinary Perilla frutescens. Threaded through the planting are coloured glass baubles.
