The Dawn Chorus Garden
Designed by the Chris Beardshaw Mentoring Scholarship Team
Chris Beardshaw and the scholars on his mentorship scheme have designed a garden that illustrates the drama of the first shaft of sunlight appearing in morning. Vivid herbaceous and shrub planting cut through the sombre, shaded areas on either side.
"Dawn Chorus is a personal celebration of the vibrancy and sanguinity the garden offers at first light when an emerging dawn and spectrum of colours pierce muted twilight shadows.
Prime rays of light striking a prismatic water sculpture at the onset of dawn disseminate a shard of light beyond."
Pretty, fresh, definite 'walk barefoot in the dew' garden.
Another fabulous Beardshaw design. It's vibrant yet relaxing and packed full of colour - something which a lot of designers seem to hate, why?
Well done Chris! Would love to see some more pictures...
Why didn't it get a gold?
Fantastic plants and beautiful planting scheme, but you should have been braver with the overall design... it feels a little bit 'safe'...
A lovely garden which appears to match the lovely description of the Design Inspiration - beautiful plants, beautiful design and beautiful words - I feel more relaxed just by reading this and looking at the photo - can't wait to see more of it and how it does - hopefully 'gold'!

Dreamy, relaxing, I can almost hear the frogs croaking, see the dragon flys hovering nearby, I want to be sat down in that chair!
