Going Underground 乘坐地铁 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Travelling on London's underground rail system, known as 'the tube', is a daily experience for most Londoners and visitors to the city. Around 2.5 million people take the tube every day but there's one thing that's bothering our listeners - why does nobody talk on the underground? Vicki Sullivan investigates with the help of three Chinese students living in London and, of course, the people who know - London's commuters. Listen to Vicki's report. Afterwards you can take a quiz based on what you've heard. Do you have a question about Britain?
