Liverpool’s manager, Rafael Benitez, was ashamed 惭愧 of the second result and apologised to his team’s fans for the heavy defeat 重创.

"Now is not the time to point the finger" 指责 means he does not want to blame his players for the result.

When Benitez says "we win together and we lose together" he means that the team should be united 团结一致 even if they are not successful.

He thinks his players need to "forget about it" 让它过去吧, which means they need to concentrate on 专心于 their next games.

But the Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, was delighted 欢欣鼓舞 with the result, especially as he used a lot of young, inexperienced 初出茅庐 players. He said:

Arsenal’s mental strength  These lads have worked very hard to integrate…they have shown great mental strength and I am highly tempted to play many of them in the semi-final.   Arsene Wenger, Arsenal manager

He says the lads 队员们 have "worked hard to integrate" 融入, which means they’ve tried hard to become part of the team.

To show "great mental strength" 巨大精神力量 means to have the mental ability to win as well as the physical strength. Because of this, Wenger is tempted 有意 to use the same players in the semi-final 半决赛.
