	Beckham finally wins La Liga with Real Madrid

Beckham, who is set to join Californian team LA Galaxy next season, was not on the pitch at the final whistle 比赛结束（哨）, having limped off 一瘸一拐地下场 in the 65th minute. But he joined his team mates in celebrating his team’s first league title in four years.

Beckham said he "couldn’t have dreamt it any better", meaning he could not imagine a better way to finish his career in Spain.

After the game the England star was joined by his three sons on the pitch and was given an emotional send-off 动人的告别场面 by the Spanish fans and his Real Madrid team mates.

Madrid manager Fabio Capello admitted he had been wrong when he had announced earlier in the season that Beckham would not play again for the team, following the English star’s decision to move to America.

Beckham said "winning this tonight now puts to bed everything else 摆脱了所有困扰", meaning the joy of winning the title resolved any previous difficulties or experiences.

Beckham can now look forward to a new challenge in the United States, with a five-year deal 五年合同 worth $250 million dollars.

His deal means that Beckham will earn 500 times more each week than most of his team-mates at Los Angeles, but his new manager says he is "worth every penny 货真价实".

LA Galaxy boss Alexi Lalas said, "He will help revolutionise Major League Soccer 美国职业 足球大联盟赛 economically and from a football point of view".

It looks like Beckham’s new Hollywood neighbours are starting to take an interest in football, or soccer as it is known in the USA.

The American movie star Tom Cruise was among the 80,000 fans packed into 汇聚 Madrid’s Bernabeu stadium to see Beckham’s last match for Madrid.
