Summary of complaint
We received complaints from people unhappy with our presenter’s description of language used by Nigel Farage at a Reform UK election event.
Our response
We heard live from Nigel Farage, honorary President of Reform UK, speaking at one of its election events. When coming away from the speech, our presenter said Mr Farage was using ‘customary inflammatory language’. This did not meet the ´óÏó´«Ã½â€™s editorial standards for impartiality. The presenter later apologised on air to viewers and Mr Farage who publicly accepted the apology. ÌýWe have also acknowledged this on the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Complaints and Clarifications website:
