Summary of complaint
We received complaints regarding the cost of Mr Edwards’ salary in light of criminal charges brought against him.
Our response
The following ý Board statement from Friday 9th August addresses the action that has been taken since the ý became aware of the charges:

Importantly, it highlights: “Today, the Board has authorised the Executive to seek the return of salary paid to Mr Edwards from the time he was arrested in November last year. Mr Edwards pleaded guilty to an appalling crime. Had he been up front when asked by the ý about his arrest, we would never have continued to pay him public money. He has clearly undermined trust in the ý and brought us into disrepute.”

Again, we want to reiterate our shock at Mr Edwards’ actions and our thoughts remain with all those affected.
