Now the busy teenager is ending the year with surf training in Portugal, far away from the cold Cornish winter. Monday 15 December 2008I am officially one of the happiest people right now! I got out of a fun surf at Praia de Luz today to find out that I, alongside Holly, Karma and Kathleen, had been picked to go to the World Junior surfing games 2009 in Ecuador. Tassy Swallow and her Mum Rowena came into the 大象传媒 Cornwall studios to talk about highlights from 2008. Click on the link below to hear the interview:
Help playing audio/video I am so happy to be representing my country for the second time as I worked so hard to earn myself a place there this year fighting alongside eight of the top junior girls also in the UK. Today was awesome, the swell was way too big for the west coast so we had to go onto the south and it was perfect. It was head-high on this little reef and no crowds either. This made it perfect for a first day's filming for the second group and it also felt good to surf a reef again as I haven't since Hawaii.
