A mounted polo player - this could be you!
At the show, there will be have-a-go sessions in the morning where you can learn how to swing a stick and hit a polo ball.

You’ll start on a crate practicing the basics before realising what is a dream for many – getting onto a polo horse.

The organisers have promised their polo ponies – from Ascot Park Polo Club - are highly trained and very well-behaved!

After trying polo out for yourself, in the afternoon at the show you can watch a display game in the show’s Grand Ring.

The ring is an imposing 9,400 square metres; plenty enough to impress the international polo players that will be there.

They will be competing in the display game for a challenge trophy.

The Royal Show’s equine area hosts over 400 championship level showing and show jumping classes and has stands from some of the best equestrian suppliers in the UK.

With qualifiers for Horse of the Year Show and Royal International you should also be able to see top names and the very best horses on the circuit.

As well as introducing polo, the show is also considering a display of harness racing, Western riding and musical quadrille. It’s shaping up to be quite an event!
