The Blink Film Festival celebrates the filmmaking talents of the West Midlands, and runs from Thursday 29 May - Saturday 31 May, 2003.
Piloted in 2002, the festival included the UK premiere screening of Resident Evil, directed by Paul Anderson - a University of Warwick graduate.

The Professional Development Event
Date: Thursday 29 May.

This event will be led by writers and scriptwriting tutors, Ross Clarke and Paul Gallagher, and Julian Friedmann, a specialist in film and television rights.
All three are highly experienced in the field of scriptwriting, and will be on hand to share their expertise with prospective writers.
This will be an opportunity for emerging writers to get expert advice and feedback on their work.
Emerging Filmmakers Futures Fair
Date: Friday 30 May.
Time: 11.00 - 4.30pm.
Admission: Free.
Location: Herbert Art Gallery and Museum in Coventry.
This is a careers fair for anyone interested in working in film or television.

Best of Blink
Date: Thursday 29 May.
Location: Royal Cinema.
Time: 7.30pm.
Admission: 拢2.50.
This year the festival expands to Leamington with the Best of Blink programme.
Highlights of recent productions to be screened include: Wasps by Coventry filmmaker Debbie Issit, director of the critically acclaimed Nasty Neighbours, and Birmingham based director Michael Clifford's BAFTA nominated Bouncer, starring Ray Winston.

Animation Workshop
Date: Saturday 31 May.
Location: School of Art and Design, Warwickshire College, Leamington.
Time: 11.00 - 3.00pm.

This offers the opportunity to develop skills in 2D and 3D animation techniques.
Student Short Film Competition
Date: Thursday 29 May.
Time: 6.00 - 9.00pm.
Admission: Free. Tickets available from the Ellen Terry Building, Jordan Well, Coventry.
This is central to the festival and is open to students from or studying in the West Midlands.
There will be a screening of the short-listed entries at the Coventry University Techno Centre in Coventry.
Regional Filmmakers Showcase
Date: Saturday 31 May.
Location: Warwick Arts Centre, Coventry.
Time: 1.00 - 3.30pm.
Admission: 拢4/拢2.50.
This will include the latest and most recent productions from the West Midlands, together with the winners of the student competition.
Festival organiser, John Gore, Film Programmer at Warwick Arts Centre said he hoped that for talented filmmakers, taking part in the festival will lead to bigger and brighter things:
